He doesn't "want" to be black. You're confused. He is just a white rapper who came from the mean streets of Detroit who is rich as fuck and got this far by telling the truth, and no Eminem is not racist. He stated he would never say "nigga" EVER in his lyrics.

If Eminem was a racist, why would he make rap then.
And why would he even rap with blackies?
I don't think he's a racist.

If Eminem was a racist he would have a very big problem with D12 :D

@olibomb. What the difference between saying "black people" and blackies?
I don't think the term was used in an offensive manner.

Quick back on topic before we're closed down

Edit; I may be wrong about kef'ty, he likes Oi! punk! :o

What the fuck?

You can't even think Eminem is racist?
Unless its just a reason to find a fault in him.
Don't be stupid .... except for his colour, he is black.

Born in a black neighbourhood, born into the black culture.
Now works in it, and is making money, after having a hard enough life.

Oh, and he's never said the word nigga in a rap.
Most probably out of respect as its still considered a racist word but is referred to as one my his rap buddies which shows hes respected and counted as 'one of them'.

@DKK Did you think Eminem was a racist who uses that word all the time?

@Kef'ty I was joking I don't mind a bit of Oi! even some of the racially offensive stuff (no I'm not a racist, half my family are originally from the Caribbean)

Who cares?? The guy is a mediocre rapper and all his little spin-off groups sound exactly the same. Obie Trice being a prime example - same flow, same tunes, same old shit!!

FC - Only a "cracker" would get offended by being called one.

TRShady - I hate to tell you this but M&M is white. It's about skin colour not where he was born or grew up. My brother was born in Hong Kong, he likes Oriental cuisine but that doesn't make him Chinese!!

Because we look at it back in that slavery shit and that word was used. Now we just say it as a greeting because that's how we are. If someone white was cool with me and said what up nigga I wouldn't get mad because they are always around black people and it rubs off quite easily. But if your where saying it in a racist way that's when it's a problem.

Is eminem racist? yes I think theres a good chance he is..............against white people. Not all white people but white people in general. MTV Interview....

"My insecurities? I'm dumb, I'm stupid, I'm white, I'm ugly, I smell, I'm stupid and I'm white," Eminem says in the middle of his interview atop the Peninsula Hotel in New York City. "I have freckles ... um ... I'm short, I'm white, I'm not very smart, I wanna kill myself. ... My nose is crooked. Um ... my penis is small.

it must be alot diffrent where your at cause here. no matter where u came from if u say a racial slur, your catchin the L. yes im sure Em has let it slip out once or twice but if your white and u say it constantly theirs bound to be someone whose gonna not like it then "say 'ello to my li'l friend" here if your brown or black and a white person says the N word or calles a Mexican a beaner or wetback or Spic. hes gonna catch a beat down. if your brown and u say the N word ur gonna catch a beat down. if your black or white and you call a mexican something your gonna end up killed. since Mexicans are the majortie here their the most likely to kill you instead of blacks. the here Mexican abd Blacks are the ones who roll together the most.

That news source posted above don't really say anything important.

Eminem's Tape: Racist or Not?

Rap fans yesterday finally got a chance to listen for themselves to the much hyped audiotape Source owner, Benzino, claimed would show Eminem as a racist and put a "nail in his coffin." Now, the community debates on whether the lyrics were over the top or simply "foolish" teenage banter as Eminem states.

Ray Benzino and The Source magazine announced weeks ago they would unveil a suppressed audiotape of Eminem in which he allegedly made disparaging remarks about Black women. The much hyped tape finally surfaced yesterday and was played at a press conference at New York's Millenium Hotel.

On the first of two tracks allegedly recorded in 1993, Eminem is heard saying, "All the girls I like to bone have big butts / No they don't, 'cause I don't like that ni99a sh!t / I'm just here to make a bigger hit."

The second 30 second audio tape followed: "Blacks and whites, they sometimes mix / But black girls only want your money, 'cause they're dumb chicks," he rhymes. Later in the freestyle Em raps, "Never date a black girl, because blacks only want your money / And that sh!t ain't funny."

Eminem has responded to the release of the audio, saying Benzino and The Source have a vendetta against him and asking fans to see the tracks for the "foolishness" they are - not as a racial attack against blacks. Em explained that the second track was recorded out of anger after a bad breakup with a girlfriend - who was black.

"Ray Benzino, Dave Mays and The Source have had a vendetta against me, Shady Records and our artists for a long time," Eminem said in a statement. "The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager.

Benzino's highly public vendetta against Eminem is well-documented in The Source magazine over the past few years. Though the actual motive for the Source founders opposition to Eminem is unclear, the self-proclaimed "bible of hip-hop" has made undermining Eminem a core of its editorial and publicity efforts. From character-assassination features calling the Detroit rapper the "Elvis of rap" out to steal rap's culture and legacy, to poor album reviews to caricatures, many rap fans believe the magazine has stepped over the lines of balanced editorial.

Benzino, a fledgling rap artist, has even attacked Eminem on his January 2003 Redemption album which, despite the beef, did poorly in the record stores selling less than 15,000 copies in its first week. Redemption is currently being sold in Amazon's clearance bin for $2.25.

Benzino and Mays refused to answer questions about the origins of the tape, which is said to have been obtained from three Detroit rappers who are former affiliates of Eminem. However, the Source co-founders stated they plan to include a CD of the audio in February issue and hold another press conference in the future with civic leaders.
