Yup, it's awesome! Although the trailer looks confusing, there is no way to present a cliffsnote version of this movie. The anti-gravity fights are eye-candy but I was more focused and fascinated on keeping my orientation as the dream levels get deeper. This is a movie that is impossible to describe to a person who never saw it. Acting all around was superb! I'm not a Leo fan but I was impressed how he kept it together. Even Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt held serve quite well. Ken Watanabe's character was a bit ignored and overlooked but his character was critical to the success of the dream mission. Only a skilled director with tremendous editing skills could pull off the complexity of such an endeavor. Although initially confusing, the jumping in and out of different dream levels requires the moviegoer to focus on the big picture. I foresee Inception will amass a cult following. This movie is definitely not for people looking for just explosions, guns, and bikinis. You'll have to pay attention and watch it again and again to answer the many questions that will never stop flowing.

While a great concept overall, the lack of development of many of the main characters makes it very hard to connect and sympathize with any of them. Especially the Architect girl (what's her name again, sorry I forgot) had so much more potential that was left completely untapped as her character was completely ignored and left rather insignificant (maybe make her Cob's daughter, trying to get under his skin and prove his innocence?). A decent mindfuck movie, that while having a great yet slightly confusing concept, was unable to reach it's full potential with rather bland, one dimensional characters. 6/10.

I was disappointed. Watching the movie felt like watching a remake of The Matrix - a 10 years old movie. The imaginary world metaphor has been copied so often by now, that it's become more than stale. The actors are mediocre, in respect of what they showed in their other films, at best. It is still a very good movie, but it's also very overrated.

it was ok, but about @ the hour and a half mark i wanted it to end. not that it wasn't good i was just bored of it. acting was fine and the concept was kinda cool, but dreaming within a dream within a dream within a dream is just a bit much imo. very glad i did not watch this in the theatre. don't think i coulda lasted on that. very doubtful i'll give this another watch. nolans a decent director minus his batman crap. i hate his batman directions mind you. spin tops, paradoxes, and sandy beaches. 6.5/10

Actually if you want to go by that he's arguably done more than critics favorites Terrence Malick and Darren Aronofsky.Of course Nolan seems to unfortunately ( save for Batman) going down the M. Night Shyamalan path of " I have to prove that I'm smarter than the audience /every movie needs a twist/hook" predictability.

The movie was really good, one of the best for this year.
Definitely you won't regret paying for it to see it at the cinema.
What's even better though is Di Caprio, and the way this guy has evolved through this movies acting better and better with each movie.
I never liked him at the beginning many years ago, but came to respect him through the years. Watching him acting in movies like the Aviator and later on the shutter island and now in inception, this guy really performs.
He shows good taste in picking the movies he's gonna play in and also makes a great acting.
I'm curious to see him in the next movie ("Hoover").

Managed to watch this and have to say I was completely mind fucked. The concept was great and the mind fucking was very well done - ie not over done like some of those SciFi's.

I think I might have to watch it again to completely understand it.

Like most modern day auteurs Nolan is inspired by greatness but fails to fully achieve it.More said in the scant two stanzas below than ,entertaining as it was, in the entire body of Inception .

It is a painfully over hyped "Good" movie, that's true.But you know, not every movie must be Citizen Kane.Inception is an entertainer, why can't you see it for what it is?

i know what you mean and believe it or not, i happen to appreciate some mainstream movies that have no other purpose than for entertainment (25th hour, the game, flawless, gladiator, mystic river and a lot more that i can't think of right now).

what annoys me is that inception is not even intended to be an entertaining movie only, but a deep, subtle, intelligent, intellectual, complex and multilayered film. what a joke! come on, it only brings a fake elaborate scenario to the table, an unnecessarily complicated story full of inconsistencies that only fool the general public. i'm pretty sure that people that were naive enough to love this film didn't even understand shit to it. actually, inception is just a skilful mix of shiny special effects, incoherent plot and a touch of mysticism that makes people think they're smart. bravo Mr Nolan.

Is meant to leave you hanging, was the whole movie one big dream created by cobb to help himself get out of his own dream and come back to reality?

There are 2 stories within this movie that i could see. 1. Story of Cobb & Arthur who are dream specialists and were hired to perform 'Inception'.
2. Cobb's own struggle with coming to terms of being convicted of killing his wife and needed to prove his innocence. Because he couldnt, he took the job from Kaito because he could guarantee him his freedom.

This is definitely a movie you need to see a few times to grasp the whole theory of the dream within a dream concept.
If you watch the movie, you will see that cobb wears his wedding ring only in the dreamworld. is this his totum? we know that the spinning top was his wifes.
