Joey, have you ever been in a... in a Turkish prison?

Captain Oveur: You ever been in a cockpit before?
Joey: No sir, I've never been up in a plane before.
Captain Oveur: You ever seen a grown man naked?

A quick-ish list of comedy movies from the 80's that are memorable enough for me to recommend. I broke the list into Non-SNL/SNL talent to emphasize how much of an impact that show had on the decade. (Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a decade more influenced by the show)...

Funny 80's Movies

A Christmas Story (1983)
Bachelor Party (1984)
Back To School (1986)
Beetlejuice (1988)
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1988)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
Johnny Dangerously (1984)
Naked Gun, The (1988)
Raising Arizona (1987)
Real Genius (1985)
Summer School (1987)
Top Secret! (1984)
Twins (1988)
UHF (1989)

Funny 80's Movies using SNL Tallent

Blues Brothers (1980)
Caddyshack (1980)
Coming to America (1988)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988)
Fletch (1985)
Man With Two Brains, The (1983)
National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987)
Scrooged (1988)
Strange Brew (1983)
Spaceballs (1987)
Stripes (1981)
Trading Places (1983)

Missing? Don't belong? SNL greatness contested? Bring it on, bring it on... :D

BTW, I realize that Joe Piscopo was in Johnny Dangerously. I said SNL talent.

I remember reading how Mel Brooks had a woman lined up that really suited the line better but decided to go with Terri Garr because she was a much better actress.Actually the busty one couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time.

I love the cockpit part with captain Over and co pilot Roger. I can't quote any of it because I'm usually to busy laughing. :)

@megabyteme
I have seen them all but stick to my guns that airplane is my favorite movie of all time.
