I never beat Brood War so I'm probably gonna chip away at that game the next few weeks, and then download SC2 when I figure out what scene group releases the best working crack.

Afaik there's a nuked scene release that uses some P2P crack that is floating around.

Cabalo, I played the first one (not the expansion) and the game was great. Until now, SC2 is even better. A lot of new things added to the game that makes it worth the play. But I'm not that kind of player that "waits" a decade to play a sequence of a title. I wasn't "waiting" to play this but decided to check it out because of the first one.

Well, actually, I still hope to see yet another remake of RE1 or just a remake of RE2 haha =P

Personally, I'd have to say no. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm disappointed, but to be honest, SC2 is just like SC1 in 3D with some added bells and whistles. Then again, I've only played the single player campagn, MP is supposedly the main focus of the game so maybe I shouldn't pass judgement until I've tried that as well.

Yeah it's pretty much the same gameplay, which isn't bad, as the original Starcraft was already a great game.
I really liked the unique missions in the campaign.

I'm with Halogen on this one. The only thing I'd like to add is that they screwed up the storyline, as well. MP has always been the best part of Starcraft, and II has not disappointed in that regard.

they've made small changes here and there to each race - buildings/units
concept is still the same, zerg for rush etc etc

i honestly think by leaving sc fans with brood war for 12 years, have made them immortal at the game. battle net play is a fucking slaughterhouse unless you're semi pro/pro.
still, great game to play with friends especially - depending on your server, battlenet users are known to be insensitive pricks haha... oh wait, that's pretty much how it is on any online game you play.

@1000possible claws - I can give you a guest pass key that will let you play for a couple days (in compensation of the generous demonoid invite the other day)

LOL I was kinda hoping for that cheesy ending. I wonder if the black zerg infested commander from brood war will appear in the second game or if he got written out of the storyline

I really enjoyed the campaign of SC2, but I was awful against the AI in 1v1 games. So, I decided not to get online to battle people.
