i think he means to update his system because it stopped reading certain discs... you cant do this at all i think and if you can you MUST have a modchip

if your system stops reading cretant disks you open it :o see al that dust every where clean it out clean the laser then readjust the laser to make sure it works right (goes up and down smoothly) if that dont wirk than your laser id dead yo uwhere sold a defult ps2 either replace the laser at a sony store (bout 100 dollars) or just but the vew version of ps2 just released like a month ago all the prev bugs are supposed to be fixed
