I can't get the Remote Desktop to work i've tried steps and softwares i've found on google...
If i want to remote desktop my pc from my macbook from another country, is this vpn?
are there any good tutorials? or even, is there anybody willing to help me with a walkthrough?

Try logmein (link above), it is so easy to setup and the user interface is soo user friendly.
Seeing as you bought a mac, you probably won't be able to set up vnc (no offense)...
But vnc will work too.

I have used logmein to manage easily over 15 machines and I have yet to have a problem.

thanks. at the moment i've got my macbook remote desktop-ing with my pc. i just need to figure out how to access it from a different ip address now.
if all fails, i will check this out

Another nice program is Team-viewer never had any port problems with it.

For Windows, there's the built-in Remote Desktop and Radmin. I personally use the latter.
