U cud use a program called Icon Packeger by stardock...

or u can use an Icon Program Called Microangelo

if u get microangelo and right click on a icon u will c the button Apperance... this will let u change your icon 2 wot ever u want 2... might take a bit of time 2 do all your icons..

but in the pic u can see the normal folder is selected how come
and this icon change happened when i installed fifa2004

I'm not sure what caused your problem, but maybe this will help (and it certainly won't hurt)...

If you don't already have it, download and install TweakUI from here...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/dow...s/powertoys.asp (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp)

Then click on the last option on the left called 'Repair'. Select 'Rebuild Icons' and click on the Repair Now button.

didnt work :(

i dont want to system restore comp cos of loss of data i dont know wat to do any more suggestions??

have you tried going to that same window and maybe changing to different icon then back again? might work...worth a try

and my gay comp thinks that these new folders r the default icons for my comp :(

hmmm....try here (http://www.iconarchive.com) and see if theres anything that might help (i posted this for metrostars earlier, maybe you could pm metro and see whats up)
