Maybe because the first rule of Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club?

In 2004, the film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Personally I hate this type of nonsense and weird for weirdness sake but whatever floats your boat.

Btw I like good guys with white hats with steely resolve( or bad guys that when the crunch comes turn out to be good ) , causes and women that are worth dying for, happy endings, and hopefully a point.
And maybe a dog.

On the other hand I don't even like the term mindfuck.

cadle 2 the grave

Mindfuck:
A cinematic technique that uses misdirection to lead to an ending that is at first glance completely unexpected or contradictory, but is coherent and reasonable given hindsight and careful observation of the clues presented. Usually involves the frequent use of symbolism both relevant and inconsequential .

I've seen Cradle 2 the Grave at least twice but can't think how it is remotely "mindfuck".
On the other hand Shutter Island is a perfect recent example, Inception not so much so since the ending is purposely ambiguous.
