I downloaded a avi and now I want to burn it onto a dvd with my dvd burner and watch it on my tv using my dvd player.
I know something you got to encode, but go on..whats the best program to use, where do I get it from, and how do I do it?

nero isn't good at encoding and u can reconvert. U use TMPGEnc to convert to DVD and then burn. All the guides u'll possibly need are at www.dvdrhelp.com

WHat i do is
1. Fix corrupt frames (if any)
2. Encode in Mpeg format (either 1 or 2)
3. Burn with Nero

Like the others said, don't encode with Nero. And Like the others said DVDRHElP has all the answers to any questions you might have.

use acp from kvcd.net, tick "no prediction" and up the quality to like 1500 min, 2500max bitrate with 48000 audio, and encode to fantastic quality kvcd. then burn about 4 on a DVD+r...

:D
