On the homepage I see a button that seems like it would allow me to create an article. Is this a bug?

Why should that be a bug? Every member can submit articles and are welcomed to.
Yet, they have to be approved by the mods before they are published.

Not a bug at all, everyone can post news articles here - I have made a couple myself. Just make sure they're well-formatted and PM Cabalo once you're done, if you don't want what you wrote to get lost in the moderation queue. :lol:
