I was told by a mate to go to a site called fugly to see comical adverts. After I went there and gave up on it because I kept geting hit by porn sites I now have a problem. when I try to access a site I keep getting diverted to one of about six porn sites. As an example I want to get a laser pen through ebay. when i try to look at an item I end up going to one of these sodding porn sites. how do I stop this for good without formatting my hard drive. If i delete all cookies I still go there, Can i reset explorer by ininstalling and reinstalling it ore something else.

Any suggestions would be a great help

dude, you got hijacked :P
get an anti-ad/spyware prog, and
run an av scan cause there are trojans and sh*t that will redirect your browser

Get a spyware removal program.

spybot (http://spybot.eon.net.au/)

or

adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/)

and

spyware blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html)

Spybot and adaware will remove the junk and spyware blaster will prevent most of it from getting there in the first place.

I just ran adware and spybot for the first time in about a month and nothing was detected by either programs.
Spyware blaster seems to be doing it's job, the immunization and other protection that spybot has, might also help.

yeah, i thought that imunization thing was cool, but i dumped the prog, ad-aware runs like a gazillion times faster for me, so i'll check out spyware blaster, thanks B)

i actually got a hijacker thing once that blocked out google. i got some page about legal representation. Ad-aware fixed the problem though

True, Spybot is slow.. but you only need to run it occasionally since it can prevent most spyware from entering in the first place... ala Immunization. Plus it's free. :)
