Filling your request would also be " inserting nose in other business " Only difference is that in one instance you benefit and in the other you don't.
So if you'd really rather people didn't "insert their noses into your business"I suggest you begin by not asking for anything.

Is this some variation of the classic "mind your own business" line?

We're all aware your concept of "less talk and more action" would be giving you a TL invite disregarding your trading past (and just because you made your trades in the "BitTorrent Invite Giveaways" area doesn't mean we're stupid).
