That sucks. It was probably my most used search engine.

It was one of the first with a nice grouping script and I really liked there design/Search results.
Somebody knows what happened ?

Hopefully it will not be the first of many going down. I don't want to go back fetching headers :S

You dont have to.
Usenet Explorer has awesome search engine supporting boolean wildmats and advanced search with great retention+ very fast(1-2 min) update rate
Newsbin pro has built-in search though its not a match to the one UE got.
The author of newsleecher has come back and hopefully will fix current issues with supersearch.
there are options out there.

Damn! This was my favourite indexing site. Guess I'll try NZBIndex in future.

It's a pity it closed, but I never used it.
NZBindex has always been my favourite, with excellent grouping options.

It likely had nothing to do with revenue.

I really liked their "posts" feature a long time ago when it was actually up and working.

But why???

Does somebody got any contact to the admin -nick- karnage ( something like that was his nick when the forum was still up ).

- Raided?
- Costs?
- Is he done with it ? ( the smiley does not indicate that)

We can only guess exactly what is meant by "Newzleech is no more" - did the server get wiped out again? It seems that Karnage has never believed in keeping backups, as witnessed by all the previous server losses which resulted in major downtime.

Although once a top destination among NZB sites, seems that things have been going downhill for Newzleech for a long time. The discussion forums and verified-file "posts" section was never put back up after the first disk crash, and then after the server was raided by the Ukrainian authorities a year ago, Newzleech again stayed offline for many months.

Considering the previous periods of downtime, it's likely that many users had already moved on before this latest shutdown. It's sad to see Newzleech go (again) because for one thing it was one of the oldest -surviving- NZB search engines.

I just use this: http://newshost.co.za/?sec=

Instant updates, cull posts, auto updates, full RSS suupport for any category, filtering, searching etc...

Turn around time on most days is "instant"

nzbindex is crap. shows files complete, which are on the usenet complete, but when you look at the filesizes on nzbindex they are differnt every file. so when you make a nzb you are getting error and parfiles are needed. Make a nzb from the same post with an other indexing site and it works without pars.

Sad to see. Was my first indexer. Don't know what happened but ye, like usuck said /index2 works.
Newzleech was faster than nzbindex.

This was my first favorite indexing site when I fell onto the nzb's 3 years ago. I felt it was going down when they started shutting down periodically and couldn't access them for long stretches. I've moved on to clubnzb which does a decent job and it's fairly quick at times, although there have been instances of seemingly overloaded servers. So long newzleech (the updated link www.newzleech.com/index2.php (http://www.newzleech.com/index2.php) also does not work at this time).
