;) Any good software you can use to compress video with?
I dont have windows XP, so i cant use windows movie maker 2

If you wanting something easy to use like Windows Movie Maker,

Try MGI Videowave, works pretty well, and it's a fairly easy to use program, only get version 4.0 or 5.0, after that the company was bought out by I think Roxio, anyway though the versions after 5 suck.

iwanna compress homemade movies is this the right one to do it with?

Try Vegas Video 4. You can edit your movies in it, built in transitions and choose the compression method. Its very easy to use and user friendly.

VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.com) can compress videos, and gives you total control. You can pick what codec the output file should use, and decrease the quality a bit to make the filesize smaller.
