Been using Newshosting for years happily but lately it seems riddled with retention and completion issues.

Example, I cannot get a single program from alt.binaries.formula1 to complete. Just total garbage.

Any idea what is happening? or how to resolve?

I have even gotten .nzb's from binsearch with the same results.

TIA.

No issues here. Try setting the number of initial records in your newsreader higher that way you make sure get all the headers from a.b.formula1 to make sure your not missing some articles when you download

Hi,

I have all the headers that is not the problem.

I wrote them, turns out the issue is DMCA, and they are taking down F1 programs. Although why the BBC is asking them to is beyond me.

Time to find a new newsserver...

Good luck finding one that does not comply with DMCA, nearly all usenet providers do...certainly the good ones anyway which does kind of suck

Go with usenetnow or even blocknews if you dont download a lot or heck even an overseas server but your speeds may be slower since its overseas. No sense in dealing with anything highwinds or there bullshit.

Perhaps the Highwinds server farms are too much machine for you my friend :)
