i was just wondering if sending a file threw msn is fast ?

because i was hoping that someone with a fast upload speed is willing to send me some files threw msn ?

sending files through msn isnt to fast or to slow, i can send files from dial up to dial up at about 3.5kb/s.

so does that mean i can download from someone at 50kb a sec sicne thats what i can download at from sites ?

it all depends on how much bandwidth the other persons got, if they've got a 2mb connection (upload) then you can probaly download at 50kb, but remember a ftp server is always gonna be quicker

yeah i have sent a 100 mb file over msn and the speed was pritty good :)

Don't forget that MSN messenger transfers the files through one of it's own servers, it doesn't connect you directly, so the bandwidth of this could also have an impact on transfer speeds.

Because i send a file to my bro's pc with msn just to see how it is and it was instant Just like if i were going to copy something into a shared folder.

well if anyone here has a fast connection, i was wondering if they are willing to send me some things threw msn, or if they have a ftp they can upload some things for me to download, as you know im still having problems with kazaa, the fact that its finding 100's of sources and downloading at 0.2kb.

im looking for the anime series chobits and ikkitousen, is anyone willing to send them to me ? :S

MSN 6 is alright it has a interface like a file sharing progam now and your speed will be as fast as both your connections are. Also you should try Waste it's a illegal unofficial program written by the guy that owns nullsoft it was never release officially but it was on warez sites a few months back its really secure you setup your own p2p network and can invite like 12 friends after they have your secert key thing its like encrypted and shit so no one else can get in. It's hard to find but the progam is still around on some warez(s) sites I used to have it before I formatted.
