Subway Directions

hi, i need some subway directions. I live in brooklyn ny, on east 4th street. i wanna get to times square, 42nd strret in the city. How owuldi go about doing this? what trains?

Go to the train station and check the schedule / im sure it wont be long for a train on or near that intersection
