i was just wondering if there was a way to restric downloading from dialuppers ? nd to filter them out so it only downloads from cablers and dsl'ers ?

i know some people have said that kazaa picks the best sources for yuo, but i know thats a load of bull now because 90% of the time it downloads at 0.7kb from 3 usres and im guessing thats because they are dialup, it randomly picks a cablers every now and then but then after a while it will drop him and start downloading from another dialupper.

so is there a way to make it only download from cablers and dsl'ers?

That's NOT the problem, you get dialups cause thats all that is left the others are upping to other users because alot share more than just that file also those 0.07 or whatever are also cable etc that have set they uploads to max (idiots).
For some reason they think its better to share to more than like me share to 3 and get the file around quicker ,you just have to wait your turn till the big kickers come around again - find more users or change supernodes can help too to find more and maybe better speeds.

Currently not sharing my 40gb of stuff due to kazaa being a gaycunt

Have you sorted out your problem so you can share again?
What help do you need in order to get it working again?

yeah i know you were trying to help, my reply didnt seem offensive or anything did it ? :s if it did sorry.

well my problem bassically is, that it only downloads from 1 person even if that file has over 100 sources. it sometimes wil find 5 or 10 useres then drop them all and go back down to 1.

right click on file you're d/l ing and select "find more sources for download"
this doesn't always do the trick, cause maybe the sources aren't there, but if they are it'll find em
check options in k++, see how many sources you have allowed for each d/l
a lot of these tips are in the forum, just have to look
did you even look at nikita's tips in the link i gave?

yeah everytime i click more sources it finds them, the real issue is why does it keep dropping them ?

like it will find 5 or 10 users and leave them on connecting for hours and hours then just drop them and keep doing that.

This is jujst something I noticed after poking around with kazaa and it always helps me connect to multiple sources. If Im mistaken on the technical side dont flame me, it works for me.

When you set the max number of sources per file to 8 for example. The dat file will have 8 available slots to store the IP user info, now when these get filled there is no space to store new connection (this is from observation). Upon opening these files in kDat I noticed that a lot of slots read "not stored" or have no file id, i just delete these thus opening new slots for new connections. I've messed around many time doing this and right after doing so, my previously mediocre download get new sources (after another search and jumping several SNs). Now I have my max sources per file set at 150 and I clean out my dats daily.

Hope this helps.
