What is the question exactly?

If u got alot....the Intel system is better...if you dont have a lot of money...the amd system is also really good..

r u building this or buying it? if so, where?

clocker

I still don't get it.

Is this a comparison?

If so, it's hardly a fair one.

You could take the AMD based system and use the $800 price difference for upgrades and kick the Intel's ass.

Edit: BTW, what the hell is an "aluminum plated" case?

abu_has_the_power
11-09-2003, 05:49 AM
i have that case, although not "aluminum plate". it's a really good case.
4 only 646, that's really good. where r u getting this from?

Abu does your case have fittings for 5 case fans or 7?

The specs differ in the two sites I saw.

Swap your fx 5900's for 9800 pros - these shit all over geforces - even the 5900 ultras. You can also clock them into XTs - over twice the performance in HL2 :D

the RAM is most important. choose the system with the most.

its not always quantity its more to do with quality and the speed of ram, you can always upgrade later

Where is mentalfusion420 who started this thread? I would like to know what he wants to know about those 2 systems, just like clocker.

Yeah come back and tell us what the hell you want to do with these systems. Also look at John Lennons Sig. to see what he did with his 2500! It runs as fast as a 3200! NICE. I like the AMD system if thats what your wanting to know...take some money and really soup it up. Maybe a 2700 or something.

Bargain ram, wouldnt suggest it.

You get what you pay for, so I would suggest either going for high quality 3200, like the Ram in your Intel setup, or some 3500 Ram, so you can get that extra head room, if you wish to overclock. :)

I hate these "hit and run" threads.

Where is this metalfusion person?

It seems awfully rude to start a topic and then leave it sitting there like a turd.

Get back in here boy and explain yourself!

hmmm, maybe metalfusion420 (geddit?!? hahahah. it's a weed reference!! killer bud lolzz) is onto something with this hit 'n' run stuff, though. fire up a joint, post a half-baked thread that doesn't really ask a clear question, and then come back in a few days and see how much work everyone has done for you. if anything, at least it's good for a laugh, especially around about... 4:20!1! four twenny lolz

edit: also, yeah... what was the point of that first post? asking whether to shell out lotsa $$$ for a high-end PC or less money for a middle-end PC? you get what you pay for, mang...

Note the time difference between the two. We have been waiting for you to explain yourself as to what you wanted.

So quit your bitchin' because we are bitchin' at you. Just take off. http://www.mcbriens.net/liam/img/smilies/fingerleft.gifhttp://www.mcbriens.net/liam/img/smilies/swearani.gif

Build both AMD systems, you will save money going with AMD, and we all like saving money dont we?

Oh, and in response to the Nividia thing, umm, look at the benchmarks, The 9800 and 5900 split alot of the top scores.

all i wanted to know was if n e one had suggestions/comments on these systems im building i didnt want all these fags talking shxt i already built the AMD system it smokes! i am currently waiting for the Case and HDD for the Intel system 9800 XT and 5950 are both smokin cards but its just if ur an nvidia fan then go with geforce or if ur an ati fan then go with radeon! :P

The AMD systems price sounds a bit fishy....How can it be so cheap?

mentalfusion420
11-17-2003, 07:12 PM
Well for the AMD system we didn't have to pay for the Hard drive so that knocks off some cash. im building the intel system today can't wait ok i have a few ?'s for everyone what is the best kind of DDR PC3200 Dual channel ram i'd have to say Corsair's TwinX XMS Memory then it'd have to be kingston's HyperX also what was better the nVida Geforce4 Ti 4200 128mb or the Ati Radeon 8500 128mb i'd say the Geforce because of performence/benchmarks and the pixel shaders 1.1 but i can't remember if the 8500 did or not
