I Gots No Hot Water

I live in an apartment as you know and this building has no hot water. We called in many times complaining and it's not been fixed, but it seems like no one else calls, maybe other people here don't take showers? :x

What do you think I should do about the hot water?

Don't know if it's the same there, but here in the US, you can legally withhold rent for such things. You could also check to see if there's some sort of government office designed to deal with landlords who are remiss in repairing their properties.



Or there's always the obvious alternative.... MOVE! :D

If that's the case, line up all your friends and family with pots, buckets and any containers you have handy and, one at a time, knock on the office door asking for a bucket of hot water until they decide to fix the problem. ;)

look at your tenancy agreement & if all in your building has no hot water refuse to pay rent.this is an enviromental health issue.

The office is in the same building but they're suite is only used as an office with no plumbing :blink:

Keikan, check your lease and see if there is any provision for you to spend rent money on emergency repairs. According to my lease, I am able to spend up to 2 weeks rent in an emergency, no hot water counts.

Anyways the government people came and inspected this building they say "bad living conditions" they check no hot water, it seems that there is no supply and huge demand of hot water in the building, like the boiler is too small. and other small things like: some windows don't have screens, the stair railings wobble and are too short, like bad living conditions as I said. Also the people who own and the people who run this building have been in court before for this.
