anyone know where to get live radio steams on desktop or even downloaded ones. I know you can play them through VLC but what do you use and where do u get them?

I use Winamp and listen to DI.fm's stations, mostly the trance ones. There are heaps of Internet radios available, so a simple Google search should throw some specializing on the genres you like.

XBMC does a good job of playing streams, ive just got an old xbox, a pioneer stereo and a splitter/extension thingy I got from Jaycar an electronics store for $7. how to make .strm files. (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO_play_internet_video_and_audio_streams)
