Btw have tried to avoid as much press as possible about the event but I couldn't help but laugh/cry when I read that NBC who has "dramatically scaled back their coverage because of American apathy" still has a 400+ person team in place.
Seems perfectly reasonable since they have like what 400 people total devoted to covering all the wars in the world?

I've been trying to avoid as much of it as possible, but it's getting hard getting through the commute without some wedding-related competition popping up on my radio, or avoiding overhearing it off my ailing mother's television which she has on all day. It's starting to really get on my nerves now. Is this where we're sharing our own horror stories of aneurysm developments upon finding out about this event? I woke up early Friday morning (8 am GMT 0), thinking I'd be the only one up. Then I was surprised to see my mother-in-law awake watching something on her laptop. After 15 minutes, I realized it wasn't a Home & Garden show, but that there's some royal wedding and they're covering it in some ridiculous manner. I hadn't even known about it until then, and that's when I got an aneurysm. I was then reupdated on everything when I caught up on this week's Daily Shows friday night. I try to live in the vacuum, but the ridiculousness is always lurking, bound to strike.
