Ok some of you might remember I burned my PC a couple of months ago. (find that discusion a couple of threads bellow)
Well I have bought a new machine, like a month ago, it is an XPS-420 from Dell, yes I made the mistake of getting a Dell,
but I realized that too late since I had never gotten a retail PC, I always got custom made PCs.
I guess what happened was I got impressed with it and I was blinded by how awesome it worked.
-Oh the machine still works like a rabid Beast, it is awesome and damn fast, but for starters I've noticed that it will be a problem when I need to add more hard drives, since I already used the only two available bays for that, and also all the stuff in the case is aranged in extrange ways, so that is what I mean when I say I might have made a mistake, but anyways...-
the machine is a
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500, 2933 MHz
2 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 (and I added the 2 GB I already had)
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 (512 MB)
ATA HDD 320 GB (using my existing 80 GB for system)
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C ATA Device
it runs very smooth and silent.
it also has a lot of gimmicks like Bluetooth, Wireless Adapter, front panel ports for many different cards, the main board has an optical out so now I don't have to get a sound card.
The monitor it came with is pretty nice too, looks awesome and has this integrated HD webcam, two USB ports on the side, and it can be connected via HDMI, VGA and I believe some other kind of cable but I don't remember, I lend that display to my broh since the one I had is still better I think.
They even gave me a set of 2.1 Logitech LS21 speakers which are very nice since now I can play my music without turning on my home theater.
it cost me $330 US Dlls.
It came with Vista installed and out of the box it played my heaviest 720p x264 movie (Avatar ;) ) like charm and the processor barely went above 3% load.
