I've used this one (http://www.geocities.com/vinodtandon/cac/) before. It's free (course everything is :) ) and I like that it lets you play a song of your choice as the alarm.

I use WakeUPnews (http://www.wakeupnews.com/). I got it back when it was freeware. Now it's trialware. :unsure:

i set my computer to turn itself on 8am every morning, works like a charm :)
