Microsoft plans to add pop-up blocking features to Internet Explorer next year as part of its Service Pack 2 update for Windows XP, a move that would go far toward stamping out the Web advertisements.
Finally IE is going to add a feature that is worth while! Go here (http://msn-cnet.com.com/2100-1032_3-5105139.html?part=msn-cnet&tag=feed_2501&subj=ns_5105139) for the full article and details. If anyone knows any other news about IE, post it here. I know that many people on this forum use Netscape, Mozilla, MyIE2, or Opera which already includes a pop-up blocker, but I still use IE and I thought the people who use it (or don't) might be interested. :)

The only thing is that it is bad for webmasters. The vast majority of users use IE still (i am one of them) and once IE has a pop-up blocker, webmasters are going to get no revenue from their ads because they will probably be all blocked.

Instead of a popup blocker, how about micro$oft implementing the feature to UNINSTALL Internet Exploiter?!

The popup blocker (and download manager) is already implemented in the IE on the new Longhorn PDC. It's not all bad. It works pretty well.

Cool. B) I'm just wondering why it takes Microsoft 4 years to add another feature to IE...
