im trying to install but i keep getting the error:

Error 1920:Serive Defwatch (Defwatch) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficent priveleges to start system services.

Any ideas what I can do.

Reboot. If that don' fix it, then reinstall.

Edit: Wait, I read it again... make sure you are logged in an Administrator.

yea i am an administrator and have restarted a couple of times.. any one else see anything i can do.

There are several possibility's. You did try to install it under Administrator, right?
What OS are you running? It is also possible that the install file is corrupted. That is my guess. This means that it just wont work. I don't know alot about Windows rights, but if you were on a .nix machine then you could try installing it under root.

have you disabled any services in msconfig? if not then the copy mite be a f@$%%ed up one! :angry: hate bastards who fuck up files!

i really dont know how I could have disabled any of that stuff.. although since i dont know how i would, i might have.. but anyway, i really need to install norton and I know the file works cus i installed it before. I also accidentally got a virus off irc.. lol a movie shouldnt be 27KB and an exe file. Anyway, as my computer starts to smoke, I could really use an antivirus quick.

many of these files lately are either corrupted or incomplete (originally) files. yes, redownload would be ur best/fastest bet.

btw, thought this was funny, captured just now from 4 PCs and 1 MAC. hehe :lol: look at the the second VIRUS :o . they know it exists but don't know what it is??? naa, probably some site glitch, ow wait, they have a virus? hehe....
