Warner Brothers will use it’s biggest franchise ever to kick off two of its other premiere titles when it runs the first trailers for both ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ in front of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ when it opens this Friday. And not only that but Warners has released the first poster for the Batman sequel as well (full size copy here). I guess it shows Gotham crumbling because of something the bad guys did. But I don’t feel sorry for them because when they built their buildings into the shape of a bat, they had to know that would be bad luck.


Trailers for Sherlock and Dark Knight will be shown Friday before Harry Pothead.

They needed to use a comic book character as a villain in order to balance out the fact they used a comic book character as a hero.

In terms of non comic-book people I actually requested that they use investor Ron Perelman as the villain but besides the fact Christopher Nolan hasn't taken any of my advice since I told him it would be a great idea to tell a movie in reverse( still waiting for the royalties btw :angry:) it was determined that he was too evil to be believable .

@iLOVENL Chris Nolan is fine as a flimmaker. I think he's starting to fall a little into the James Cameron/George Lucas trap of thinking that everything he does is of monumental importance but there's no denying his talent.
