As I don't have any irc client installed in my mechine & don't believe in online irc clients (based on java, like mirc) because of security threats they pose while using them at my PC. So, I don't think it is possible. Will be great if you can retrive some info from him/her & pass it to me. :)

You will have to ask Cirno he banned it, I dont use IRC, have no interest in IRC, so i dont have a clue why.

(01:38 PM) X -
if he wants help with it...he'll find his way into irc
(01:38 PM) X -
and his issue really cant be discussed in public...so...

so it looks like you either try to get into IRC, or your account stays banned, sorry.

well, lol.
Today I was checking all of my inactive accounts for further details on the trading thingy.
All of my account got deleted ( username/password do not exist). My digitalhive account is still alive. There got a PM from Acid asking me about the same trading/cheating thing. Replied him.
FYI: first time 3-4 months ago, one gazellegames staff asked me about invite trading, replied him, matter was over.
Once my account was disabled in Theblackhand because their staffs suspected the same about me. Well, that account was re-enabled when I told them I have no idea. (was using mirc at that time)
and if the 'forum link' is from torrent-invite, then I'm going to say there my account was linked with another person who was using same IP given by my ISP to users while logging in when the number of users using their services is greater than their avilable IP (i.e. 203.147.88.10) [It is safe to publish this IP as there are many users using this IP at this moment] which is ISP's resarve IP for overloading of NAT. And my normal IP range is totally different: (i.e. 223.29.1xx.2xxx )

Confusion everywhere. :)

P.S. I love bt drama. :P Nothing can match it, seriously!!

Well, trying mibit inside vmware win xp now. :)

again global doesn't mean anything to me. Was using only bcg. Got banned, well, that's good. Their site, and it takes only 1 click to disable account.
Lost 6GB of data, which I was downloading from there.

And for blacklisting purpose, I don't cae whether a nick named VinX or some ShitX blicklists me and vice versa. right?

Offtopic: I remember an instance, when I was at Orrisa, taking sarvey at 2-3 villages about basic/normal/advanced computer knowledge among people. At that time a few leader type of people there came to us and asked/ordered us to go away despite the fact that we went there with the permisson of taking local sarvey. Well, when we didn't follow their order, they threatened us about the consiquences we may have to face if we didn't stop our sarvey at that particular moment.

Well, after almost 1 year, your post remind me of those people. Congrats for helping me in my studies by sharpening my memory power. :)

I ban them to.... low click through rate... just eats up bandwidth.

.... And by the way... I've never seen someone more scared to use irc. I personally hate to use it myself, but your reasons for not wanting to use it are pretty dumb...
If you don't download anything from irc or click any strange links you should be fine.

why bcg dont allow mibbit?

Mibbit has the side-effect of working as a proxy, by connecting and transferring messages from and to the server for you. Since proxies are prone to abuse, many trackers' IRC networks ban it entirely.

About "I don't want to get my PC infected"... just get mIRC and run it inside a sandbox.

You can get malware from chatting on Mirc? Or is that if you use the app for file transfer?

Possible sources of intrusion.. that I can think of:
1) exposes your ip address (Mirc allows for the use of socks proxy, so this can be avoided if really that large of an issue)
2) Using file transfer (just simply don't use it... or run in a sandbox as anon said)
3) clicking an external link ( could lead you to anything)

Irc clients are associated with "malware, viruses, and trojans" due to a large number of botnets being controlled through irc.

..... In the end, you have more of a chance downloading a virus from your cracked Mirc than using it for its basic chat functions.

Well, it was a survey from our uni, managed by our uni District Magistrate himself. So, forgot about bribe. We weren't doing favour to anyone by taking that survey but only helping ourselves with our project. Hope you got my point of thinking.

Alright thanks, nothing I didn't know. Basically don't be an idiot and you're fine, and really the issues here apply the same way as when using internet browsers...

Actually I've 2 servers running all the time at my PC. So, I browse through nzbs, usenet, torrents only in this OS, which is running inside vmware. But I don't have 100% believe in virtualization technique provided by vmware at hardware level. So, prevention is the best way to go. :)

it was poolshark actually, who has staffed at a number of sites.

Honestly though i dont know the finer points of this, if he was caught red handed its his own fault, if its a case of mistaking identity, or a reason for it, he didnt really explain himself very well in IRC.

Also lol@ not believing in VMs and believing IRC clients will give you malware.

The only way you're getting malware from a client is if the crack is a virus (solved by using a free client) or if you accept file transfers from random people (which I've never received in several years of IRC use). I suppose your IP could be exposed if you respond to certain DCC requests, but that's about it.

Cirno is boss, I love his edits in the torrent comments

There are really no social cues online and its so easy to dehumanize anyone you don't agree with. Brings out the worst sides in people more often than not, but I doubt it's relatable to their behaviors in person.

Cause, simply I'm sick & tired of explaining everything again & again.
If anyone going to believe me, fone. And if anyone don't afteer explaining him once, then well, I don't expect he is a 5 year old kid who will not understand anything before telling the same thing at least 10 times to him. In IRC, irc ops can kick, g-line anyone anytime. So irc is not really a two way communication system which was obvious in my case.

There was a globan ban on you from ***** been asked to edit it out, god nows why though its not exactly a secret, but meh, whatever., i am not a member of that forum so cant see what it was about, but the global ban was put on you from another site for trading and cheating, my staff just followed through with the ban, i dont have a clue which site put you up for the global ban.

You also said on BG that you would just use them, and didnt care about loosing your account on BCG, again though i am not a member of BG so cant check that either, or when it was posted, but i hve a feeling there are mixed messages here, you write that and then you say you havnt used BG for a year or so. its confusing.

but thats realy all i know, the other 2 trackers you mentioned, i am not a member of those either, tbh i dont deal with global bans or even bans most of the time, its up to my staff to use their judgement, and their judgement was to ban you.

Edit: and if you cant be arsed to explain to my staff, then what the hell do you expect lol

and it was probably on IP addresses and dates those IP addresses were used, we dont just say 213.234.12.12 and we ban everyone on that ip that has ever been on that ip, it will be 213.234.12.12 on the 12th July 2010 at 10pm GMT if you come up as having the same ip at the same date, its a match, if you dont, its not.

New teist to the story. Never heard of btssu before. Googled it, get in a page where only question mark is displayed, then removed login.php them got a login screen.

As for the IP related point, I've already explained to you about one IP, which is the ISP's reserved IP for NAT overloading. Again I'm neither defending myself (as I don'r have proof) and nor bitching about disabling me etc. just clearing your points for nothing.
Again for BG, it's the last time I'm going to say it: I had an account with username: bijoy with same avatar in BG. Last time I used it whenm my account was 4-5 weeks old in BCG. THen I started getting all games in BCG, with higher peers and also SP system was helping me. Because of my interest in older games with no leecher, I completely moved to bcg. I never posted anything in bg (again, if I can recall everything correctly).

So, fuck! haters gonna hate me. Good.

The 2000 Darwin awards!

(15 July 1999, Alabama) A 25-year-old soldier died of injuries sustained from a 3-story fall, precipitated by his attempt to spit farther than his buddy. His plan was to hurl himself towards a metal guardrail while expectorating, in order to add momentum to his saliva. In a tragic miscalculation, his momentum carried him right over the railing, which he caught hold of for a few moments before his grip slipped, sending him plummeting 24 feet to the cement below.

The military specialist had a blood alcohol content of 0.14%, impairing his judgment and paving the way for his opportunity to win a Darwin Award.

(11 August 1999) A 42-year-old man killed himself watching the eclipse while driving near Kaiserslautern, Germany. A witness driving behind him stated that the man was weaving back and forth as he concentrated on the partially occluded sun, when he suddenly accelerated and hit the bridge pier. He had apparently just donned his solar viewers, which are dark enough to totally obscure everything except the sun.

(25 May 1999, Ukraine) A fisherman in Kiev electrocuted himself while fishing in the river Tereblya. The 43-year-old man connected cables to the main power supply of his home, and trailed the end into the river. The electric shock killed the fish, which floated belly-up to the top of the water. The man waded in to collect his catch, neglecting to remove the live wire, and tragically suffered the same fate as the fish. In an ironic twist, the man was fishing for a mourning meal to commemorate the first anniversary of his mother-in-law's death.

(16 August 1999, Germany) A hunter from Bad Urach was shot dead by his own dog on Monday. The 51-year-old man was found sprawled next to his car in the Black Forest. A gun barrel was pointing out the window, and his bereaved dog was howling inside the car. The animal is presumed to have pressed the trigger with its paw. Police have ruled out foul play.

(1991, Nicosia, Cypress) Under similar circumstances, an Iranian hunter was shot to death near Tehran by a snake that coiled around his shotgun as he pinned the reptile to the ground. Another hunter reported that that the victim, named Ali, tried to catch the snake alive by pressing the butt of his shotgun behind its head. The snake coiled around the butt and pulled the trigger, shooting Ali in the head.

(August 1999, Australia) Drinking oneself to death need not be a long lingering process. Allan, a 33-year-old computer technician, showed his competitive spirit by dying of competitive spirits. A Sydney, Australia hotel bar held a drinking competition, known as Feral Friday, with a 100-minute time limit and a sliding point scale ranging from 1 point for beer to 8 points for hard liquor. Allan stood and cheered his winning total of 236, (winners never quit!) which had also netted him the literally staggering blood alcohol level of 0.353, 7 times greater than Australia's legal driving limit of 0.05%. After several trips to the usual temple of overindulgence, the bathroom, Allan was helped back to his workplace to sleep it off, a condition that became permanent. A forensic pharmacologist estimated that after downing 34 beers, 4 bourbons, and 17 shots of tequila within 1 hour and 40 minutes, his blood alcohol level would have been 0.41 to 0.43, but Allan had vomited several times after the drinking stopped. The cost paid by Allan was much higher than that of the hotel, which was fined the equivalent of $13,100 US dollars for not intervening. It is not known whether Allan required any further embalming.

First Runner Up Award goes to ...

(22 March 1999, Phnom Penh) Decades of armed strife has littered Cambodia with unexploded munitions and ordnance. Authorities warn citizens not to tamper with the devices. Three friends recently spent an evening sharing drinks and exchanging insults at a local cafe in the southeastern province of Svay Rieng. Their companionable arguing continued for hours, until one man pulled out a 25-year-old unexploded anti-tank mine found in his backyard. He tossed it under the table, and the three men began playing Russian roulette, each tossing down a drink and then stomping on the mine. The other villagers fled in terror. Minutes later, the explosive detonated with a tremendous boom, killing the three men in the bar. "Their wives could not even find their flesh because the blast destroyed everything," the Rasmei Kampuchea newspaper reported.

And the 1999 Darwin Award winner is.....

(5 September 1999, Jerusalem) The switch away from daylight savings time caused consternation among terrorist groups this year. At precisely 5:30 Israel time on Sunday, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs. A closer look revealed the truth behind the untimely explosions.

Three days before, Israel had made a premature switch from daylight savings time to standard time in order to accommodate a week of Slihot, involving pre-sunrise prayers. Palestinians refused to "live on Zionist time." Two weeks of scheduling havoc ensued. The bombs had been prepared in a Palestine-controlled area, and set on Daylight Savings time. The confused drivers had already switched to standard time. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, delivering to the terrorists their well-deserved demise

Stupid people awards

OP, I am not accusing you of anything, and I really feel that you are a nice guy, but isn't it true that you were banned from sdbits because you had been accused of cheating?
By the way, stoi, even if OP cheated on some other sites, it doesn't mean he cheated on BCG. I remember that you said that even if people were cheating on other sites, you would still invite them to BCG as long as they agreed not to cheat on your site.

not saying i never said that, but cant remember saying that, and that was probably before global bans came into force as well.

But cheating is and always has been a global ban, trading accounts the same, trading invites not so much, selling invites/accounts is as well.

I don't get what do you mean of that But in my opinion trading invite is a same crime as trading accounts in the bittorrent world.

You will probably get banned on the tracker you traded the invite on, but as for a global ban, yes it may happen, but its usually up to the sites what they do. (well all the above is, some are more strict that others)

on another note though, i am very surprised no one has noticed (even on the site) Cirno leaving the staff.

from the tone of your post, i guess you were aware that many users were a little wary or even afraid of the guy?
maybe no-one wanted to talk about it?
the newer MODs are very very helpful and friendly
I see winds of change on BCG:happy:

Personally I'm sad that he left BCG, he was the best staffer they had.

And to bijoy: Stop whining about your account or how misunderstood you are and that you didn't do anything wrong, you cheated at WCD and several other sites, so imho you deserve to be banned everywhere.

No GOOD user will ever have to be wary or even afraid of any staff......

The only problem with that statement is that the precise definition of being a "GOOD user" varies from one person (or staff ) to the next.

Not really, a good user doesn't cheat or trade/sell accounts/invites, in other words: He/she doesn't break major rules :yup:

IdolEyes787
08-07-2011, 11:42 AM
Then how come as a "GOOD user" you still get disabled for inactivity?

stoi
08-07-2011, 11:51 AM
Well for me, you are not really a user then, you are just a member. (pruned accounts dont even login, never mind use the place)

Yes having lots of "members" doesnt exactly put a lot of strain on the server, having lots of "Users" does, so if you never prune, have 400,000 members (an example as thats nearly the amount of members we have had through the doors, yes a lot of dupes but thats the number) and they all decided to come back and use the tracker, the server wouldnt like it one bit lol

but for the time being we have stopped pruning anyway.

Because trackers want active users, not those that take up a spot and don't use the site. Most trackers don't purge accounts, so you can still get reenabled - most likely only once or twice though, if you still don't use your account then you really don't need it anyway.

Then I satisfy your definition of a good user. I was also an active user at hdbits, so I wasn't just taking up space. Even though I am a n00b in some sense, try to forgive me for that. I don't wanna hijack this thread by talking about me, but try to forgive me and tell the hdbits admins, "Please forgive Oleg. Please re-enable his account and allow him to post on the forums and join irc."
