Why is it, that many lions lose their mane when kept in a zoo?

I guess because they're not used to the stress caused by living in captivity? After all, it's not the most natural place for them to live...

They notice how cool the polar bears are, and try for a similar look. It's envy, mane-ly...

There's a song I think of whenever I see another J-Dye dupe pop up, spam the shit out of the board for a few hours then the banhammer descends and they disappear along with most if not all their posts......

Now what was it again ?

Ahhh yes Another one bites the dust !

Why is it, that many lions lose their mane when kept in a zoo?

Lions lose their manes if they are neutered.

No it's not it's just something that you both read off the internet and now take as fact.
I could tell you the real reason but frankly why bother wasting breath on mindless lemmings?

Btw lemmings being used ironically since the belief that they blindly follow one another even off a cliff is also untrue.
