Looks interesting, but September 16 is an insignificant date since the only way to get hold of the flicks is through scene rips only.

When the scene actually begins producing their own films instead of merely stealing them is the exact moment that I will start giving a fuck about the scene.

Fucktards couldn't even come up with a better name for their loose association of criminals than a phrase that went out of fashion somewhere around 1967.
Seriously "the scene" .Why not just call yourselves the groovy beatniks?

I agree to it but it's not relevant with what I pointed out

Btw I'll be monitoring IPs so don't try to make a dupe account so that you can try to post here again.

No theater in my city (out of four) releases Hollywood (only few like Terminator, Matrix, Avatar etc) flicks, So the only place to get them is via Internet.

Ironically the only thing about you that's dynamic.

I suggest you stop your criminal activities and move to someplace that's actually on a map then.

Tried very hard for it and in eagerness just 2 months ago lost 1.25 million rupees to fraud company, that is 1/3 of my total wealth. My god be with me.

The trailer appears to have compacted the whole plot into 2 minutes, standard practice for most >2 minute trailers.

Still, looks interesting might consider it on a lazy Sunday.

Where the hell do you live? Pretty much any film (bar the few Limited screenings) are screened here in this little ol' continent.

Nicolas Winding Refn won Best Director at this years Cannes for Drive but then again he also directed Valhala Rising or more corectly tom Cruise allowed him to think that he directed Valhala Rising.

Maybe if I said the guy from Breaking bad is in it.

What could it be, other then the country claimed to be greatest in the world, Fucking Republic of India.

Also I forgot to mention, the theater count is now have come down to 3, one of 'em has closed down because of not making any sales, at their end, they tried very hard with the Russian porn but didn't work out.

There's a trailer on IMDb if you've run out of sources ;).

I can't help but feel that the editor on /Film got the concept of screenshots wrong: (http://www.slashfilm.com/drive-lockout/)

They're pretty big so I shoved them in a spoiler tag to ease flow of reading before the Lounge trolls come

just watched the trailer and it looks to me that they have summed up the film as per usual. all the action in one go . on the plus side i do enjoy seeing films with Ron perlman in it so i will takes a look when some descent copy surfaces.

If you like action flicks with a near-mute protagonist and a excess amount of violence. It from the same director as Bronson and Pusher so if like that type of thing then Drive is definitely for you.
The reviewer at Rolling Stone (http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/reviews/drive-20110908) considers it to be maybe the best movie of the year but if you look at the "community " scores there is a wide discrepancy in appeal.

Anyway Ryan Gosling is getting a lot of comparisons to Steve McQueen so that can't be a bad thing.

well it looks like its not for me then i actually like action movies and horror movies come to think of it but as you put it near-mute protagonist and a excess amount of violence. doesnt sell it for me.

I was going to say that actress was adorable, but after google image searching her, only 2/60 photos agree with me.

Did you actually think you could buy an ENTIRE bridge for $7.28?

Or were you helping Nigerian royalty?

I'll see Drive simply because I can't believe Refn was able to make another film after Valhalla Rising.
I would say that VR is probably the worst film I have ever seen, it's dearth of redeeming qualities so devastatingly complete that the addition of David Spade would've been an improvement.

The (apparent) fact that NFR could morph from Ewe Boll's bitch into a lauded director is endearingly improbable, yet compelling enough to force my attendance.
Damn it.

Haven't been around a lot lately so I missed this topic and answered in the "What is the Latest...." thread instead. Yesterday I watched the movie in a local theater and it is a damn good movie.
Don't wait for the scene version Idol :Pthis one is better in a theater. It has nothing to do with Gone in in 60 secs. Do you remember the Live and Die in LA car chasing scene. Something like that only there is an atmosphere especially in photography and of course there is Gosling. This is his movie although he is so silent
