it's been down for more than a month I think, and there is no info about what's going on... did it just quietly vanish? shame because it is one of the oldest trackers and recently it was picking up pace with freeleech and stuff.

From some posts I read on FilePorn, the admin vanished for weeks, and the server was shut down because no one was paying the bills. Chances are it won't be coming back.

So, here's the "good" news - FilePost is back up and they have the whole downtime explanation on their home page. Here's the BAD news - they are taking invites only...

I just read that, and don't know what they were thinking. When you start a tracker from scratch and want it to thrive, you don't make it invite-only from the beginning. :slap:

Obviously they are doing it for safety reasons, but I suppose if it does get off the ground it would be a VERY private tracker. But it won't ever be the same as it was before.
I guess it's time for me to move on and find somewhere else.

BTW - my post was supposed to be monitored, funny how it still got through with the invite request and all. Good luck to anyone who still wants to be part of that site, you'll probably need all the luck you can get!

Just get the new invite to filepost from the Staff. Old database are not being using with this new filepost that's why people need new invite to rejoin. New FL looks great :)

argh.. just found out that it's back but it's not the same site and you have to hunt for an invite! bummer :( if anyone kindly wants to invite me, I'll be glad to take it and I can try to prove I was a member: have FLMP3 & FilePost screenshots, and I can say what was the most seeded PS3 torrent on FilePost before they went down.

I found FilePost to be pretty terrible, never really used it, not interested in the new site.

It sucks with the invite stuff and ive been a member since 2005. Not much you can do but to move on, there are better sites out there.

Mailing us and hoping we will take your word for having an account earlier, will not work and those mails get deleted instantly (you would think that if someone actually emailed them, they would respond because of the long wait with NO news what-so-ever and yet those people STILL want to be back on the site... paranoia at it's finest). No matter if it includes a screenshot or not. (I'm actually really curious on how many accounts are currently active on PostFile [they changed their name].
