How Do I Get Safemode On Xp Pro?

f8 while booting up and its a option on there

start>run>type in 'msconfig'
click 'boot.ini' tab, check 'safeboot' box

oops i was pressing it at the wrong time. :angry: its pissing me off i installed then on the first boot i changed the resolution and i think the refresh rate was dodgy so i restarted hoping it would sort itself but it wont start. safe mode reboots and vga just goes to a black screen. ive put it on last good configuration and the same thing. im gonna give it ten minutes then if it doesnt work its going out the window

















or ill just reinstall. either way im pissed off. grrr :angry:

think it does that until you tell it to 'normal boot'
start>run>msconfig
click 'general' tab and select 'normal boot' or 'normal mode' (cant remember)
may need to go to 'boot.ini' tab again and deselect 'safeboot'
