Miscellaneous:

* Bibliotik is a tracker for ebooks, comics, audiobooks, magazines and scholarly articles and journals - think library. As you'll soon notice, we stand apart from other torrent sites in this way: We're an online Library

Ratings and Comments:

Content 10/10
I have found some really obscure books here that I wanted but am too lazy to buy or go to the library. Also they have a good deal of textbooks and magazines such as PC World and Linux Journal
Community 7/10
The forum is a bit dismal, but people will write back quickly. The IRC is even faster so most people just use that.
Speeds 9/10
Ebooks are small so even one seed makes your torrents go at blazing speeds!
But the site is dreadfully slow at some times.. so that took off a point. But its so worth it.

I love this site.. It has lots of resources I want in one place. If the site wasn't so slow it would be a 10/10 in my book. My favorite tracker to date.I sometimes love minimalism. Its so pretty. And functional![/COLOR]

Does it have much in the way of music and law?

I don't think it has music,because it's a elearning tracker. :D

The community is dismal, like arrrggghhh. Not to mention that it seems to be run by people with Asperger's. The people who run it are not the same people who started it up. The founders abandoned the site, and the staff that was left have been struggling to maintain/upgrade the site.

The main downside with bibliotek, and any ebook tracker really, is that people don't download that much. Books aren't like TV shows where you can go through a handful a day without a problem. Plus the file sizes are small. Most ebooks are under 1 meg. Bibliotik off sets that by allowing you to download 2 gigs without worrying about ratio. Plus there seems to be a seedbox that jumps on almost every new torrent, so you're guaranteed at least one snatcher. I'm suspicious if that seedbox is run by the staff or not, as a way to help get people upload credit. Kind of like What.CD was doing in the past. So if you're new, upload the biggest mobi/epub/pdfs you can find, and you'll be able to rack up upload credit really easily.

bibliotik is crazy, there is pretty much no leechers there and the only way you will make upload credit is if you upload, i mean there is plenty of stuff you can upload but when the things are 1 MB it will take much uploading to create a decent buffer, it is interesting though, because this one guy created me an account with 250Gb in like a week, it blew my mind, he must have down fake upload or something and the account survived

Indeed the site seems quite dead, and not only in terms of bytes transmitted. The stats they claim:

Enabled users: 13260
Users active in the last 24 hours: 1278
Users active in the last week: 4095
Users active in the last four weeks: 7385
Torrents: 127457
Creators: 113638
Seeders: 350369
Leechers: 997
Snatches: 3061083
Transferred: 90.41 TB

So they had in N years a number of total downloads which is 1/5 of what archive.org has in one month for their books. Internet Archive's texts are out in the open web, but they also are mostly public domain (out of copyright) stuff rather than bestsellers.

The point of sundry suprises me a lot... The site seems fishy according to the information stated above. Anyone member here? Please tell more information about the tracker. Thanks in advance. I am into law books . Is the tracker have good collections or single copies of law books. It will be good to know if i want to join.
