I have tried with mpc-hc but couldn't get it to work after jumping through quite a bit of hoops. Is there a player that supports it natively?

It's not necessarily the "player" that does it, it's a post-processing effect, much like real-time resizing or degrain, etc.

Truth of the matter is, there aren't any great solutions out there short of going out and getting a 120 Hz display. Here's this link, if you haven't already tried. I personally never messed with these options, as I went and just bought a new TV.

Yea that looks similar to the one I tried and couldn't get it to work.

May I suggest giving up? At least here. You might have some nuts exploring these solutions in tracker forums though.

I pretty much have but I thought that someone might be privy to info that i didn't glean from my Google searches. Meh someday I suppose.
