Just read TBO's thread with the link to the site which attempts to access your computer. Excellent post as usual. Though as UKMan pointed out it starts of with a wee bit of a con, the site not the thread.

Passed all the test so I'm reasonably happy about that. Even though I don't actually know what it means. It appears that people are interested in this sort of thing so with your permission I will add

https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Try the shields up tests. But only if you want your ports probed (ooer missus).

Oh by the way I passed all of those tests as well. Not that I want to appear smug or anything. I update my software once a week and run a full system scan. It's no bother, I just get myself a cup of tea while it is doing it.

Cheers

Its quite useful to have a good probe every now and then.. :D (ports only  )
GRC is a cool site with some really useful programs....especially if you have XP.....
As for 'oerrr missus'(probing) i use a very small program called 'probe me' that probes all your ports...you can get it HERE (http://www.ericphelps.com)

You might also wanna check out LocalPortScanner (http://www.jpsoft.dk)

Hope these might help someone ;)

I'm glad you enjoy using a small tool to probe your ports but that reallly is too much information.

Sorry,

This is like a conversation between Julian Clarey and Frankie Howerd.

With apologies to those who don't get the reference.

"Tell me Watson, my probed friend, did it hurt?"
"On the contrary Holmes, it was very refreshing!"
"Good Watson, we all need a probe every now and then, helps to keep that fiend Fu Man Chu out!"

He's a baby. He's a baby.

Are you suggecting that Vic and Bob are probing ports. I think that Vic just got married and that Bob is a Solicitor, so you better watch what you are saying.

Anyway it would be a big night out Les.
