With DSL, why do you need Internet Accelerator, isnt it fast enough for ya ;)

Any internet accelerators, all it does is saves the page as a local copy on your hard drive which is accessed faster next time you go to that website.

Unless you are looking for download accelerators like flashget etc., this might not be a good idea.

For me, I'm using Internet Turbo version 5.4. It's reliable 'cause I'm just using dial up.

Can't afford for cable modem. It's very expensive in our country, tha'ts why I'm using dial up with a support of Internet Turbo.

Yes I'm looking for a program that saves caches to the Hard drives.

here is something you do for that...ive done it and it works for me..

windows xp/2000

Go to start > run> type regedit (for xp/200)

Go to this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\ServiceProvider

Set the following to the value 1...

Class
DnsPriority
HostsPriority
LocalPriority
Netbtpriority

Back up before you do this changes...I've done it and works like a charm.

@Catracho, what do those registry settings do?

.hack

there are no programs that for dsl/cable that make them run faster, i.e: accelerators

and if there is (they dont work).

lets say you get 40kbs on downloads.... the reason you get 40kbs and no more than that is because you have cheap dsl/cable, and thats what it max's out on ........YOU CANT MAKE IT GO FASTER THAT...

the only thing i can suggest is to dl a good internet browser.

such as: mozilla, mozilla firebird,opera,avant..etc...
for mozilla goto mozilla.org or dl from download.com

note: opera costs $

Please have a nice attitude while asking. With that attitude you might not get anywhere.

Try what Catracho said.

If not, then go to Downloads (http://www.downloads.com) and search for Internet Accelerators there.

SG TCP/IP Optimizer (http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php). CableNut (http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl01/) for more advanced tweaking.

???? we get everything 4 free, from XP to Norton Antivirus....... so y the f*** r we goin 2 pay 4 Opera?????

just make those registry adjustments and get a good browser (use IE only for hotmail).......... Opera, Mozilla and Firebird r good ones (Opera i no 4 myself, though few ppl complain bout either 3 of em)

u cant make internet go faster that ur physical limit, so with 56k, ur limited 2 7kByte/sec

Cable and (A)DSL: ur limited 2 what ur providers setting (can only change that by hackin ur provider)

T1 or T3 : dont bitch bout ur connection bein 2 slow!!
