Indulge me in my pety nuances, if you may.

Yesterday a picture of a Blackberry prototype leaked. A few hours later people were commenting on the similarity of the music icon on the device and the original iTunes icon. I disagreed. I knew there was another icon that I had seen that was the exact same. Took me a good few hours before I recollected exactly where I'd seen the music icon, and it's the one on the main forum directory's music sub-forum listing.

Any chance for whoever selected it to help me backtrace it even further and see who designed it, and if blackberry is pillaging someone's copyright? And yes, I know the musical blue note was moved if it were so.

Topic-related, the phone image:

I can't make out anything from the photo. Anyways, why are you so interested in image copyrights?

It's from iconpedia (cabalo was the one that suggested it, in a team chat thread about the forum icons): http://www.iconspedia.com/icon/music1-18617.html
It says "Free for non-commercial use".

Keep in mind that being a prototype the icon might just be there as a placeholder, which is something a lot of programmers will do to keep production moving while the artists catch up (and to save the artists doing things twice when original designs don't work as planned).

There was some extra care assuring every image used on this board is not protected by IP of any kind.
