Couple Of Questions

Firstly, let me say am new around here, and hope this is the right forum etc...

I have a couple of questions if people could help.

I was on the TTi tracker for the past 5 or so years and will be happy to tell you my username there if necessary. Its the only private tracker ive ever REALLY used... (Barring my demonoid account which ive barely used even though ive had it for 7 years, and my thebox.bz which i only use for the odd tv show now and then).

On TTi, i had upload of over 1Tb (yes i know its not a lot to some people - but I'm in the UK), and a fairly decent ratio to go with it.

Obviously TTi was taken down recently, and i was wondering what is the best way to get access to another private tracker (preferably specialising in movies, PTP sounds perfect having read around..) even though I now have no proof I even had a TTi account (barring some .torrent files going back to say June 2010).

Any suggestions as to how to get started would be much appreciated.

Starting afresh with PTP may be a tad bit difficult. I suggest you signup on some of the open trackers, talk to people, keep a good ratio and you'll be in PTP in no time. :)

Movies? TV Shows? Games? Apps? Standard def, high def, lossless music, xvid only, scene releases, p2p internals, etc.

Based on your thinking that PTP would be the most suitable, my only guess is that you're looking for a site that has all the popular movies in whatever format. In that case, the recommendations could be any out of maybe several dozen.

Maybe IPT? It's a general tracker, just like TTi. Easy to seed, also. And it has movies. I don't know if the focus on them is high enough, but you can read a review and see what you think.

He can't receive PMs yet and seeing as I already reported a previous post for violating the rule against talking invites outside the prescribed section if you aren't careful you won't be receiving PMs for a while either.

Good point. The number of required posts has changed so frequently lately, I didn't even take that into consideration.

I know that, and am more than prepared to run a seedbox (permanently if needed) to get and keep my ratio.

As for what I'm after, im looking for Movies.. current cinema releases, and also a nice (preferably large - i have eclectic tastes) selection of older stuff....

Cool, ill have a look at IPT when I finish this post... but really, whilst i did like the variety TTi to offer, looking at my download list, its 90% movies, 1% software, 9% TV - and the TV / Software i can get from open sites such as TPB etc.

Sorry, wasnt meant to be a "request an invite thread" altho, that is definately where this thread is headed ideas wise of places to start. I'm certainly not saying "give me an invite to PTP" im happy to put the time in etc.. to be fair, if i had needed to before now, i would have been active on a forum like this, just in case - but its been a very stable tracker (barring the month or two where it went into legal downloads only and wiped its back catalog).

Thankyou very much, and I will do that... BTW, how many posts/time is it to get PM capablities. Not that im gonna go around spamming threads to get there. From what I've seen already nosing around, doing that gets you ABSOLUTELY nowhere. (Even tho i did consider breaking this post into lots of smaller ones to get that number up :p )

If you want a movie tracker check TehConnection.eu it's open signups and TheHorrorCharnel. (http://horrorcharnel.kicks-ass.org) open signups as well but only 'til friday or so.

Yeah course I'm still around.. I'm not a massive poster really.. more of a lurker.. and I do tend to read every thread in the sections I'm interested in on a forum..

I find not posting to be the most useful action on an already busy board unless I have something constructive to add at least... Tends to avoid the ire of mods and accusations of spamming/trolling/flaming etc etc etc. (Its worked for me for years so far - so why break the habit of a lifetime).

And oh.. a trap? Ahh well.. sometimes ya gotta take the risk :)

Which told me that you hadn't logged into it in a long time...So I thought to myself, that is weird since I am certain they disable users. I was disabled at one time for inactivity and that was OVER 2 years ago. For shits and giggles, I went to the site to see if I could log in and was able to! Weird!? Can't explain that one, but I guess I owe you a thank you as I regretted losing that account (was going through a move or something and had limited Internet access). Good luck with your quest! If TehConnection is not for you, then as others have mentioned, IPT is the answer. Has everything TTi had and more...Terribly easy to keep a ratio as well. No need for a seedbox.
