View Full Version : Do you guys want foreign nzbs in the section? Worth creating a new section?

Title pretty much explains all.

There appears to be some view/download hits for the Foreign nzbs, mainly German. Not sure if it's curiosity or if there really is a decent non-English speaking base on this board. English speakers users might be annoyed at the Foreign spam which is why I propose a new category for non-English. You can filter categories (not language atm). I wouldn't mind posting for the international users if there is a need for it.

I'll continue to post the MULTI nzbs until there's some discussion brewing. Besides with the new posters who still haven't learnt to do packs for TV shows, I don't really see the Foreign posts an issue :ermm:

The trouble with asking people whether they want stuff is that most people won't reply and if anyone replies they'll generally say yes. Which gives you a statistical significance of about 0. So I'd suggest if you think it might be worthwhile then go for it then see how people actually vote with their feet (or fingers). Give it, say, three months, and see how the views and replies stack up and decide whether you think they justify the maintenance effort. Good luck with it anyway.

Tesco already came in and pointed out information that pretty much made the first post irrelevant.

Do discussions need to necessarily remain linear? I have a bad habit of jumping in just to make a point tangential to the subject - rather than hitting the topic directly - so really I don't mind when others treat topics similarly.

You must forget, zot, that I'm probably one of the most consistently tangential or off topic people on this board. I was actually responding to turk's post directly, and I probably should have quoted it. If you notice, my comment was trying to close the original topic, thus giving license to more deviation. However, this is apparently a boring thread and no discussion is to be had.

It's Christmas time, you fool !

I'm the unobservant type with holidays, this time of year makes me a little more agitated than usual. My wife's out of the country for 2 weeks and I ripped down all the lights she strung up.

To chime in, I'd like a Bollywood (South Asian) section. I know stuff gets posted, but unless you know the title, or come across it while looking at the new releases, it's hard to come by here. I know that tesco provided a language link, but this (Hindi/Punjabi link) is missing! (To be fair, a lot of Bollywood stuff gets translated to German, but I have yet to figure out why!) Much appreciated, and thanks for the thread!

Ok, I'll start with the French and German posts, as tesco pointed out can change their language preference if they don't like the posts.

The Hindi scene isn't really that big ShareIt, there only a few scene groups. You'll have better luck on torrents for Bollywood stuff.

i definitely like the idea of seeing more "Foreign" films

i absolutely loved
Lives of the Others (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405094/)
The White Balloon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112445/)
The Song of The sparrows (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0997246/)
Brother (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0222851/)
Takeshis
Sonatine
Kikujiro
Pistoleros (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385683/)
Grimm (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365289/)

none of which are in english, or my native language
i suggest we limit only to movies that score >7 at IMDB (for foreign movies)
and movies that get requested to be uploaded here
like the very recent
Separation (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1832382/)

Interesting list. Foreign cinema is probably what we're going to resort too the way Hollywood is going.

By rights that rule should also be for English nzb's too but people still feel the need to post them (and to send pms of reqs) Very rarely are movies rated below 6 are worth watching.
