Is anyone aware of an addon for Firefox that would make private browsing a breeze just like in Chrome? I hate the fact that I have to close my current session in order to open a private one, I'd like to have both open simultaneously.

I did some digging around and noticed there used to be an addon which could make this happen, but it's been deleted from the Mozilla addons page:

an article by Lifehacker, discussing the addon: http://lifehacker.com/5454715/private-browsing-window-adds-chrome+like-incognito-windows-to-firefox
the addons former page on the official Mozilla site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/private-browsing-window/

And please, stay on topic. I don't want any browser wars in here.

It was most likely deleted from Mozilla for a reason. Maybe do a Google search for it, not just the addon but some reviews about the download etc. (Mozilla could have detected malware etc on download or there site).

It's probably horrible outdated by now. But I'd be interesting in something a bit more up-to-date with similar features.

Doesn't quite count as a web browser. Lynx on the other hand...
