Compaq cq60 problem

My laptop has vista which i dont like at all, what i want to do is go back to windows xp. Here is the problem my copy of xp wont recognize the sata hard disk. Is the anyway i can add the driver to my copy of xp and edit it to pick up the hard disk. Or do you guys know of a easier way, thank for any help you may give.

The easiest way is to just bump up to Windows 7. I would have similarly told the man unhappy with Windows ME trying to switch back to Win98SE to just move up to WinXP SP2. Since it was supposed to be Vista ready, Win7 will run much better on it.
