No offence to the good staff and members here at FST, but it doesn't feel good to be back here again, well not in this particular thread anyway, lol! We are obviously having unexpected problems with the server which we are still working on. I initially tried the common fixes which unfortunately didn't help and since then our main dev/coder has been working hard to resolve the problem. We are getting closer and hopefully it won't be too long, although with problems such as this I can't give a definite ETA at the moment. Our IRC and tracker are still online.

It's up (at least for me), but it seems that there are still issues- it takes time to load pages, and I have to reload pages once or twice to get a requested page.

The site has been online for the last couple of days, although Whimpy (above) is correct. Members are likely to be experiencing intermittent performance / page loading issues and the forums are temporarily offline. Unfortunately to prevent further issues we have also had to temporarily remove referrals. On a positive note our tracker remains fully operational and the Christmas bonuses are still in effect, our IRC is also online. Staff are still working hard to fully resolve the issue and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update: The forum back online and although still problematic the page loading issues have been improved. We are continuing to work on the problem and won't cease until everything is fully back to normal.

Update 2: After a lot of diagnostic work and various changes to the system the site is loading fine again! :)

There is a big antipiracy campaign in China a the moment, major subtitles websites been shut down (It was a major blow, as also was the source of raws for many fansubs in other countries) and so everyone is cautious and evaluating their options.


You see... China (govt) in the past years has done some occasionally crack-downs on piracy even though they generally dgaf, but this time specifically The Interview (movie) has been released online, and to be buddy-buddy with North Korea they will crack down on anyone hosting that shit... like most of the Chinese PT sites. A couple smaller sites are still open but many are lying low to avoid this. (super synopsis/summary TL;DR, I do not know the whole truth. aka. don't quote me.)

Again, we/I/.. don't know the whole truth but all of these sites having maintenance suddenly at the same time, right after the Chinese govt just got back from official talks with North Korea about the movie The Interview and it's illegal distribution along with Chinese subs, doesn't seem to be a coincidence. The govt is on "high" alert and until they chill out, the sites are gonna lie low.
The sites'll probably be fine though, I think. I mean, Chinese sites have gotten cracked down before, but I don't think the govt is super keen on cracking them down, because a) If they were, why has TTG/CHD ben alive all these years? b) They are humans too, many of them probably also own seedboxes and download shit c) Who gives a crap about people watching shit for free???...... Unless you're being sponsored by cinemas and etc... Could be, but ehhh- I think the sites will turn out alright.

We've had a disk failure and our disk array is offline.
We have started the process of procuring a replacement, but it doesn't look like it will arrive today.
We will be taking the site down in light of the disk problems, and hope to be back quickly once down,
