I just want to add that turbotax used a rootkit-like DRM scheme that had a nasty habit of literally destroying the hard drive on virtually all multi-boot computers, rendering these PCs unbootable.

And even on computers Turbotax did not totally fsck-up, the boot-sector corruption it left behind (by writing in non-writable sectors) could not be undone by uninstalling it.

Old news, but something that's unforgivable in my opinion, and that's why I bring it up.
