My computer has broadband internet access.
And we want to connect my friend's computer
so that she also has internet access.

We have installed an extra nic in host computer
and have crossover cable connecting 2 computer

but we don't know how to set the 2 computer
network system..

anybody knows how to do that ?

Much better if you can invest in a router.

They are not that expensive nowadays and have 2 huge advantages. The "host" does not need to be on all of the time and a nat router will also provide a hardware firewall.

Hardware World for this sort of thing really.

This gives you an idea of what's available (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/DirResults.html?d=a7b11)

Search on router, they start at about £42

If you are using windows XP it should be fairly easy to set up a network and share the broadband connection.

Though I do recommend the router method.

This should tell you all you need to know (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/homenetworking/)

if u get a router u would still use those. just buy a router and connect both of your computers to it and the intenet will work.
