Worst Virus

I recently checked Norton Anti-Virus and it detected a Hanta Virus, thats when I read about it and it spreads through the Kazaa network through files you download, then it spreads to other files so when some1 else downloads the infected file they'll get it and it continues on and on. I think to be exact its called W32 HLLP Hanta virus. I aslo had W32 Jeefo which infected 90+ files.

Didn&#39;t see it straight away, 4 computers ended up being infected because of that :angry:

the only virus i&#39;ve ever had was an opaserv virus, it didn&#39;t do any damage because my AV stopped it but it was an arse to get rid of

I had &#39;Junky boot&#39; virus way back with Windows 95. I couldn&#39;t get back into Windows at all. I had to format the hard drive, lost all my stuff.

The interesting thing was that even after formatting I couldn&#39;t reinstall Windows.

The virus had survived the format. It would stay in RAM until the format was done and then transfer back to the HD. It had also transfered itself to my boot floppies. So I had to get new ones and be sure to write protect them.

i had a virus it was messed no matter what program i clicked winzip would start up and ask for registry so i ended up reformating i reinstalled all my stuff then poof it just died on me and all that i saw on my moniter was weird colours lol

currently i think i have a virus my comp wont start up any cds just freezes+ i cant surf the net rally onthe throu kazaa i cant click thinks it sucks but my boy is gonna fix it for me soon so its all good

I had a virus [size=12] and this is really true, called: OpaServ

norton long ago down lead to always upadting virus&#33;&#33;&#33; :(

Now I have new install and it is not there... I do not know from where the virus
was coming... I also made the experience some files called "Imesh" on Kazaa
were just 300kb or so and there viruses after norton...

I have a virus called the LOP virus that you had to BUY a speacial program just to get rid of it. And I asked the LOP company how to uninstall and they sent me a uninstall program BUT THAT WAS ALSO ANOTHER VIRUS so I ruled out it was not a spyware ad company . I removed it manually but damaged some things. &#39;

Spyware to me is a virus.

To be honest, never had one that i was aware of. Maybe way back in the 80&#39;s i may have had one, before anyone really understood what viruses were. But we were allways re-formating and re-installing stuff that they got wiped out anyways. Long before all this sofisticated crap thats around today.

But, i stay up to date these days as much as is possible - so far <_<
