View Full Version : eMule vs SoulSeek vs other clients?

What in general P2P does everyone like using?

eMule
SoulSeek
Is FastTrack alive?
Or would someone ditch those, and grab JDownloader, and filestube.com?

Or does everyone love torrents? Or what about IRC? I believe WinMX is dead. I know LimeWire got shut down. Any other people love using?

I like SoulSeek, and I have been trying to use filestube, but I heard it's not safe. NZB's, no, I'm not paying. Any P2P client. I was always interested in P2P clients. Honestly, from time to time I talk about this subject on what others are using.

If you don't have a NAT router, possess plenty of free time, and can get your hands on a good nodes file... maybe. But when you see the search results, you'll wonder why you wasted so much time.

I believe WinMX is dead.

Years ago there were hosts file patches to make the client operative. No idea of how things are now.

I know LimeWire got shut down.

Limewire is the client, not the network. You can still connect to Gnutella using Frostwire or something, but it's full of crap.

I just got a chance to reply now. I reply on my iPhone.

I don't know how to multi-quote, so I'm not going to make one big quote.

I hope you don't give up on me?

So, a nodes file is a waste of time? I don't know what a nodes file is, and I don't know where to find one. My guess would be searching in Google?

What P2P client and network would you recommend?

What I meant is that the FastTrack network is a waste of time. You shouldn't bother with it.

These days I use DDL almost exclusively. Warez-BB has almost everything I want. Save for a minority of fake files and those "sponsored links", Filestube is also pretty good.

I never used DDL before. I know it's Direct Download Link. Do I need a client? Or could I just use my Chrome Web Browser as the download manager? I don't have any good, and open registration sites for DDL.

I did a search for Warez-BB, and I came up with Warez-BB.org, something like that, but the board administration doesn't allow registration. Would it be possible you could PM me by helping me get in? Or would that be a straight out no?

BTW, jerks in the other section are taking advantage of me. Duh, I have an IQ of 68, and that's not normal. I try to be normal, but I fail at it. They should pick on someone else. Maybe you can speak to the mods and get the thread locked, or make an exception by giving back the posts, and delete the thread?

You can use a Web browser, but that'd pale in comparison with the functionality of jDownloader, a program I'd strongly recommend for this purpose.

They do that sometimes. Just wait until they open - won't take long.

BTW, jerks in the other section are taking advantage of me.

Those "jerks" in the indexing thread are voicing their honest opinion as far as I can see, and that's commonplace in this forum. Freedom of speech is like that, you don't always hear what you agree with.

Hey, what DDL sites do you highly recommend? I honestly didn't know that filestube was a DDL site. What site do you use as in your opinion?

Hey, what DDL sites do you highly recommend?

I'm not a heavy downloader, and the aforementioned Warez-BB has 90% of the stuff I want. For the remaining 10%, I usually turn to torrents or Usenet.

I would like every Grateful Dead album there is, and by me getting them for free.

Did I say every album? I mean that's like a million. Hey, why don't you check out the database I'm going to give?

Damn, that's a lot of tunes. Don't you think? Will filestube have what I'm looking for? Or what's the alternative without people getting busted? I mean real time music.

That's the database. Or go too deaddisc.com.

Alright, I'll try eMule. Do they have full albums, or just single songs? Myself, I like SoulSeek. I can also try eMule.

anon,

On Warez-BB.org. This is what I get. Sorry, but the board administration does not allow new registrations. I have been trying to register. When will they be open?

I'm pretty sure they open periodically. But don't quote me on that. I signed up there years ago and was surprised when I first learned that they would temporarily close signups here and there.

Both. Albums can come inside ZIP/RAR archives, or as separate tracks thanks to "eMule Collections", a feature to group separate files as a single set that I've never seen anyone use, ever.

I remember I used eMule for single tracks ~6 years ago, when I wasn't as resourceful or knowledgeable with this stuff as I am now. Good memories. Anyway, do read the documentation as it takes more effort to set up efficiently than a BitTorrent client.

I'm pretty sure they open periodically.

This. Just keep on checking and you'll eventually get in. And once you have an account, it seems to last forever (i.e. doesn't get pruned if you don't make any posts).

FileTube & jDownloader or GrooveDown (Music) or Newsgroups / Usenet (I have 20 GB with my internet plan, however pay for more, its well worth it when you get things in seconds instead of being limited like with DDL).

This is ridiculous. I have been trying to get into Warez-BB.org, but of course the board administrator has new registrations disabled. I can't wait until they enable it. What are some other ways I can get in? I really want to check it out, and replace torrents. Would today be the day I can get in? I would really appreciate it if someone could help. I'm trying to get rid of torrents. In fact I don't even have a BT client on my PC. I took it off. I have jDownloader.

I hope someone can help me. I'm not being rude, or mean.

I hope someone can reply back.

No but you sound way too impatient. Why don't you take a couple breaths and assess what's important. Do you have anything else in life that needs your attention today?

I'm sorry guys.

No, I have nothing to do today. I'm only going to sit here and chew Cope. It sounds like fun? Lol. Honestly, I have nothing to do. That's the truth.

I have a question, and I'm looking for a serious answer. Normally what day of the week do they enable it? Or does it vary?

So, eMule is better in means of not getting busted, and to replace torrents? Is eMule better then DDL/Warez?

BTW, what section of category should I post in about eMule, so I could understand how to use it in general, how to download, how to configure it, and the likes? Where can I make a new thread at?

Thank you for recommending that too me!

Looking for security on a massive network where it's much easier to upload than to download? Good luck.

File Sharing. And before doing that you can try Google first :P

No, not looking for that.

I'm in the USA where it's illegal. I'm looking for something where we can still download from, but either as of today there are no signs of whatever is getting busted, and that will last a long time.

Alternatively, and to sum up all of my threads into one without using the greedy words, or anything like that. I'm looking for another free method where it's open, so I could continue to download.

That's what I'm looking for.

anon,

Will you please read my last post, and write me back? Or are you done with this thread? I hope you can write me back.
