This kid I knew a while ago used to be my friend...and then we had a fight and never talked. I IMed I'm and I pretended I was some other kid from school and then later on he found out it was me. And then he tells me to meet him to fight him, I dont go and he comes to my house and tells my parents that I've been chatting with his sister and talking SH!T to her. I don't even know his sister...anyway he wants to fight me. He's tall and skinny (REAL SKINNY) and he knows 'KARATE', I'm half foot shorter then him but I'm built and know boxing. Should I take him on or ignore? And hes been sending me Threats through AIM lol.

if you think you can take him and he thinks he can take you, go at it - nothing solves an issue between two men like fisticuffs, unless its a completely trivial issue

Riddler

Balla.......offer him a choice :

1 ) He can shake hands and forget about it, and go your separate ways.
2 ) He can take his chances with you and hope that he doesn't wind up in the hospital.

If he chooses ( 2 ), immediately drive him in the nose as hard as you can. There's nothing more effective than breaking someone's nose. They get an immediate jolt of major pain, their eyes tear up and can't see a thing and their hands will automatically come up to clutch their face, leaving them completely vulnerable to further punishment. When you're sure you have his attention, offer him the two choices again. ;)

this is so true!

i got my black belt in shotokan karate when i was 16, and the day after my dad kicked my arse just 2 let me know he still could.

but then i got my green belt in akido when i was 21, and threw his ass on the floor and he landed flat on his back wonderin what the hell happened - that was the greatest felling of my life! :D

EDIT: i think u should try and take him - if he beats u, at least u tried - if u beat him, he'll kiss your arse 4ever -

If the guy really wants to fight you and you think you stand a chance then go for it. But i find that violence isnt the first answer, so try to reason with him. If that dont work, then you done your best and can feel free to fight.

I am a bit surprised at some of the replies here though. That GUN for instance, even though it bought a giggle or two, i dont think was wise. If you've been on the end of a bullet anytime, then you would know better. Its a cowards weapon used by people who dont know better. Not gonna get drawn into any arguments about the millitary here either - but thats my views about weapons.

Most people who really wanna fight you are just scared themselves. Some are not of course and you will get the shite kicked out of ya anyways. Maybe your having second thoughts about sending him that message now? If you retaliate, you have to be prepared for a reaction - you got it - now deal with it in the best way.

Those are my views - take em or leave em ;)

Peace

It was a joke, I'm using extreme sarcasm. Notice my previous replies. I think completely denying something with no information to back it up is humorous.

But there will never be a time without violence, so you might as well embrace it. Then while embracing it, kick someone in the teeth.

@SensualGardening
Stick to your principles my friend. I agree with them, however i do have a comment.

Sometimes you just cant turn your back on violence. Its here and very much a part of everyday life - unfortunately - and most kids these days seem to accept it as a normal way of life. Demonstrating against it or trying to ignore it sometimes helps, but not allways. It wont go away and one day maybe someone is faced with the fact of either defending themselves or being either killed or seriously injured, just because the idiot your facing wont listen to reason.

In my post before, i mentioned that violence in my experience isnt the first answer, which i stick by. But if talking or reasoning dosnt work and obviously this guy cant just turn his back because his enemy is at the same school, then what are his alternatives? ITS NOT WRONG to defend yourself - let me make my views on that known - and i hope they come to an amicable solution. I just hope he dosnt get himself in the same predicament again and has learned something by this experience. After all, he did provoke a reaction - however innocent it was supposed to be - and now has to sort it out.

I hear you.
And, as usual, agree with you to a certain point.

I'm not against defending yourself.

In the past as orderly in pychiatric hospitals i sometimes too had to fall back to

defensive violence, mostly to protect people against themselfes(& other patients).

In allmost any other threatening situation i resort to:

Running.

I am proud to say i never used violence in any other situation, though i had to

suffer some black eyes for not fighting back.

I remember one time as a kid i came home with a black eye.

My father asked if i did fight.

I told him someone hit me, because i commented on a racist remark, but didn't

want to hit back.

My father was sooo proud!!

Violence becomes violence......etc.

I know i'm rowing my boat upstream, but what's new??

Keeps me in shape.

"Teach your children well......"

You know, there's a lot of kids outhere........

Demonstrating against violence helps.
Ignoring doesn't.

;) Hey guys, how's it going? Do you have kids Yogi?

I think it's entirely up to parents, and too many of them don't seem to be 'bothered' to teach their children decent principles. i.e. Violence never really solved anything. You might bully somebody into agreeing with you, but what's the point in that? You won't have thier respect and I'd much rather have that. I try to teach my kids to find other ways to solve problems, but it does seem to come naturally to boys to lash out with their fists. I have great faith that my message will eventually sink in.

 ^_^ :D
