God of War is the most difficult game I ever played!!!

A few days ago, I started playing the first God of War game (from the God of War Collection for PS3), and it's so goddamn difficult!!! For a while, I played the game on the Spartan (Hard) mode setting, but eventually I switched to the Easy mode, so even though combats became easy, I JUST CAN"T JUMP ON THOSE DAMN MOVING LEDGES after putting the two necklaces on the statues of Hera and Aphrodite!! Now I wanna find some cheat that would give me a 100 % CHANCE of jumping on all of those ledges.
Damn!!

Yeah the game is pretty difficult, but it's not like it's impossible. I've beaten the first and second games both multiple times on God Mode(never played the third as I don't own a ps3 yet). So just go through it once on Easy, and keep increasing the difficulty. You'll keep getting better and better and eventually the game will become pretty much a breeze.

If you want to play a really hard game then fire up Ninja Gaiden Black on the higher difficulties. I guarantee you'll start crying...

Alright you've gotten me wanting to play this again. Once I'm done with Tecmo Bowl I'm gonna dig out the PS2 and fire up this fine game once again.

Well, the gamefaq says I need to press X twice when the bridges are fully extended, but I am still unable to reach my ultimate goal: jumping on the last bridge.

I never played the first one but the 3rd was tough too. I played like 5 minutes into the game and got to a boss that I couldn't beat. I spent like a half trying to get past that point and gave up. Never played it again. :idunno:

Aww...come on now. Like I said, I haven't played the third one but I'm assuming it's similar to the first two. GoW is just like games like Ninja Gaiden, the more you play and practice the better that you're going to get. It's a punishing series but it's so fun.

Oleg I really don't know where you're at in the game. It's been at least a couple years since I've played it, and Youtube isn't playing nice with my computer right now. Go start a thread at the GoW board on Gamefaqs (http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/919864-god-of-war) and ask your question there.

For Oleg, it's the game of life. For the rest of us, QWOP is the most difficult game ever (without cheap trick). And I remember the original NES Ninja Gaiden being too difficult for me.

It's all good.

You know what though, go ahead and download an NES emulator and grab any of these games: Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril(the excellent homebrew game, I can't believe some random douche made this, i mean seriously this is like professionally made), Darkwing Duck, or Zelda II. Give any of those games a shot. Then you'll know what really hard games are, and hopefully GoW will then be much easier for you.

Thank god for that. I was starting to think something's wrong with me.

GoW is nothing more than a grindfest with tacked on mechanics from the prince of persia games. I played the third one for twenty minutes exactly before I put it down. There's no interest in button mashing to follow through a path a developer sets for you (that is incredibly easy to find and follow).

A tip. Play it in the morning right after you wake up. For some reason things just click together. Another good hard game to play is Predator: Concrete Jungle on ps2 and xbox :)

Okay, I changed my mind and decided to keep playing the game on the Hard mode; however, the last boss battle proved extremely difficult for me on that mode, so I completed the game on the Easy mode.

Well, seeing how you've beaten it if you unlocked the Dairy Bastard costume it will make the game EXTREMELY easy. Put that joker on and you can breeze thru the game in under 3 hours. Now, try your hard mode.

most difficult game i have played ever. but i like it and still playing. It still looks like a video game whereas God of War looks like
something put together for that crappy Wrath of the Titans movie.
The best GOW screens trump the best U3 screens in the graphics.
However, it is more consistant on keeping a high level of quality.
