Did anybody D/L-ed this file and also got stuck in the first frame????
I analysed it with GSpot and it should be able to play... i have all the neccessary codecs (cc4 = DX50)... but noway josé :(
I even d/l -ed a new VfW codec because Gspot spoke about a "unspecified VfW codec" that I didn't find in the codecs list. So i installed "On2 VP6 VfW 6.0 codec" but...
nope
Any1 a suggestion????
btw...the audio seems ok and runs on and it turns out to be the real thing (yes it is T3!)

grtz

man , dude it's a divx file so you need to install divx codecs on ur computer

go to www.kazaalite.tk and download the codec pack, install the pack and you should be able to watch the movie in windows media player ;)

I know it is a DiVX file (DX50) and I have it installed (DiVX Bundle 5.02)...
That's not the problem, dude! Thx anyway
As I wrote before I analysed the file already... see above
I'm still searching through dvdrhelp.com though.. thx Wallace

Maybe ppl with the same file and problem could be more helpfull!

 :rtfm:  :swear:
plzz read the forgoing threads and know what ur talking about
I HAVE DiVX Bundle 5.02 installed (player included)
and it runs fantastic and smoothly till I met T3 files (I now have a second one where the videoframe freezes after a few frames

Besides the above mentioned file (699MB - 716.341kB) there's now another 1 named "Terminator 3.avi" (769MB - 788.168kB) that freezes after a few frames!! :w00t: :swear: :'(

Both are no fake files since I'm able to see freez shots when i analyse it with VirtualDub in preview and it can't detect any freezed frames
Analysed it with Gspot too and I have all the necessery codecs
What could be wrong with them??

Any other ppl who d/led these files??( I know there r) Are the working for u?

Adster

may I suggest not to get teh kaza codec pack as it is very buggy and XP has problem with DIVx fiels wit the kaza codec pack KingJohns Codec Pack V7 is the one I use and you can install each codec seperatly which is better.

so unistal all the codecs you have and try it

adn BS player =Bullshit player

im very surprised Videolan didnt play it

yeah i also seem to have problems with playing movies in wmp, bs player and the like, the k-lite codec pack makes no diffrence.

Videolan is a great player but i have noticed than the sound quality is not what it could be.

Could it be you have a corrupt frame or two at the beginning of the film, which is causing the video to freeze while the audio continues?

Try skipping past the first minute or so of the film or try removing the corrupt frames.

Thx guys and gals for the suggestions

But keep the 'codecs ones' out plzz... I don't think it's a codecs problem!!!
Namely as mentioned 3 times before...
GSpot analysed the file and detected the necessary codecs needed for the file r available, in the right place on my comp.
So, unless u have the same problem with the same files and after analysing them and know absolutely sure it is a codecs problem... tell me

I'm rather thinkin it's, like Skillian suggests a corrupt frame prob...
So some1 suggested DivFix
Tried it and indeed corrected some corrupted frames ... so my hopes got high...:o
but not for long
:w00t: :teehee: :w00t: :teehee: :w00t:
Yes I already tried to skip with the slide bar.... it stays on the same frame (and only the audio moves)

If u want a good file (until now it is in AVIPreview) I suggest u d/l the following filename
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003).avi (719164kB)
it's XviD encoded and works so far

3de keer scheepsrecht
as we say here :D

Concerning the other files... keep the suggestions comin
maybe I can share them when fixed

Hey have you tried Kazaa Corruption Fixer? If you have the complete movie then it will redownload parts that are bad or missing. Try viewing the movie in TMPGEnc to see if you can view past the part where the movie freezes. If you can then most definitely try using this tool.
