KCeasy

I used to be a regular user of both programs. Ares is the best client for its own network. KCeasy can also connect to it, as well as OpenFT, Gnutella and FastTrack in addition, but it's not that great because the giFT backend handles sources too aggressively (not to mention the last two are full of crap anyway).

The bane of Ares used to be getting it to connect - it could take more than an hour with a fresh install. You could always steal a nodes file from someone else, though :P And newer versions solved this problem. It takes nearly no effort to configure it, which is why it gained so much popularity in my area of the world, I think.

If you have specific doubts, post here and I'll help you.
